Welcome to this new blog I'm starting, U Can Start Today! This blog is about how to start an online business, tips on where to start, types of businesses you can start, and let me say that the very best thing you can do right now other than reading this blog is check out the Start an Online Business page of BMWD. I'm the owner of BMWD (Black Mountain Web Design) and I have quite a bit of experience with starting and running online businesses.
I guess to start there are a few different kinds of online businesses you can run and different ways to make money from each one. To make it simple they break down into Selling, Advertising, and Promoting. A site that is selling is obviously a site where you sell goods or services. A site for advertising is a site that makes it's money primarily from ads displayed on the site. These sites can be about anything at all, and is a pretty broad group of sites. For example, buzzfeed is about many different things and their primary source of revenue is advertising. A site for promoting is similar to an advertising site, except instead of making money from the ads themselves you are promoting products or goods from another site for a commission. Some are disguised as review sites, sites about specific products that link to the site that sells the product with an affiliate link, sites that offer rewards in exchange for completing sponsored offers, etc. As this blog continues I'll write more about each of these three primary kinds of sites, how to get them started, and how to make them successful.
Of course along with giving you info about these sites, I'll also give you info on how to make these sites successful. I'll write various posts about SEO, creating promotional sites like this one (This site is promoting my services on BMWD), social networking, advertising, etc. My goal is to help you succeed with starting an online business and encourage you to use my services in the future for your business needs.
